22-23 August, Kraków at last!

a few words from Ela (via Joasia)
Hi kids,
Photos of the beautiful building are of Tyniec church and monastery. The river is Vistula. It was just wonderful to breathe the atmosphere of the place. The whole day was breathtaking and the best thing is that there is more to come and I can hardly wait to embrace it all. All the other pictures are self-explanatory. Let's enjoy and have fun!!!
Lots of love,
Ela(and Joasia).
P.S. Andrzej is doing most of the work on this blog and Jasia is doing all the work to make sure that we all happy.

Seeing some of the sights,
1. Jasia and Andrzej at breakfast

possibly shocked at having photos taken of them so early in the morning!

2. view to the "forest" garden outside Ela's bedroom

3. Nasze skelpy "our shops"
Jasia and Ela claiming their turf

4. real sight-seeing! Tyniec - a Benedictine Abbey, picturesquely situated on a limestone hill on the banks of the Wisła - more about Tyniec here

5. Kraków at dusk, Barbakan (or Barbican) in the background
addendum - a subsequent conversation with Ela/aka my mum reveals that what she was really taking a photo of was the building at the right of screen, where the "Sklep Plastyczny" is located.
And what exactly is this Sklep Plastyczny? It's the holy grail of artists and art students - an artists' supply! (link to the katalog!)
mummy, you're so cute!! i you
