Melbourne, Wednesday 13 October - Kasia's house

Kasia and Tommy and I (Monika) picked up Babcia/Mama/Ela from the airport, and drove her back to Kasia's house.
Nick was ready with coffees and toast and jam (we rang him from the airport to let him know that his mother-in-law was hungry!)

The first thing that needed to be done?
Ring Jasia in Poland!
Ela waits patiently while Nick dials the number for Poland.
... waiting for the phone to connect ...
Finally, talking to Jasia!
It's been so long ...!
meanwhile, on the other side of the dining table,
Tommy was showing Monika just how long his fringe is!

Kasia and Tom drove Ela home to Tootgarook soon afterwards.
Ela was met with squeals of delight ... from Tui, the dog, not Bozena. Although Bozena was very happy to have her sister back too.

Pobyt w Polsce byl wspanialy. Moglabym to zrobic jeszcze raz. Bawilam sie swietnie. Dzieki. I do zobaczenia.

Hello, I'm back. The trip went well.

My time in Poland was wonderful. I could do it all over again. I had a terrific time. Thank you and see you again soon.

This is a lovely woman I met at Singapore airport.

We saved each others' lives - she had to wait there 16 hours, so my 4 hour wait between flights was nothing by comparison.

Ela's final full day in Poland,

so it's in the car with Danka, driving from Krakow to Warsaw.

Ela and Jaga were students together at art school, Państwowe Liceum Sztuk Plastycznych ...
